Position Summary

The MCE Data Management Senior Manager is part of the United States MCE data management operations and data governance team reporting MCE Data Management Director. The Senior Manager is a key player in comprehensive data management program to ensure that the United States MCE data meets the requirements of the business and the MCE program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business accountability for MCE data management function.

  • Collaborate with global and local brand marketing teams, business partners, analytics, ITS and agencies to define and fulfill current data applications and uses.

  • Align with MCE Global Digital team on demands related to data.

  • Lead vendor onboarding and vendor performance management reporting.

  • Lead MCE data quality management.

  • Provide business ownership and oversight on metadata and tagging taxonomy management tool.

  • Collaborate with Marketing Ops Lead to review, validate and approve the request to add/update metadata tags and/or tagging taxonomy.

  • Create and manage the MCE data catalog.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

  • At least 3-5 years direct experience with pharmaceutical sales data and data management with an emphasis on digital/multi-channel data.

  • Ability to lead an operations-oriented team.

  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical sales and marketing data sources – specifically digital/multi-channel data.

  • Experience with digital data vendor contracting.

  • Knowledge of and/or experience in pharmaceuticals sales operations; understands how data is applied in a pharmaceuticals commercial operations context.

  • Ability to translate business needs into data requirement

  • Understands the basic principles of data management and data processing.

  • Understands the basic principles of data governance and date stewardship (data quality).

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate the data management subject matter to a non-technical/unfamiliar internal customer.
