Sanofi Group Sr Manager Global Market Research in Bridgewater, New Jersey

The Market Research role is a technical expert focused on market research methods, design, data collection and analysis to provide the necessary market understanding to drive evidence-based strategic and tactical organizational decisions. The position will provide holistic, insight-driven consultation to all levels of internal stakeholders using market, portfolio and brand-level market research and information.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide timely and actionable market analyses and solutions to drive key business decisions and accelerate the development, and prioritization, of insights.

  • Design and implement market research to answer business questions based on comprehensive integration of primary, secondary and competitive intelligence sources.

  • Design survey instruments; prepare discussion guides, screeners and other stimuli for research and effectively manage market research vendor relationships.

  • Coordination and collaboration with business units throughout process of generation of business questions and hypotheses to be tested.

  • Strong ability to develop partnerships and positively collaborate with affiliate market research colleagues to align on market research plans and project objectives.

  • Position requires the ability to synthesize multi-sourced complex information, apply analytical capabilities and utilize strong interpersonal and communications skills in an effective manner.

  • Position demands a strategic, business-driven orientation as well as a high level understanding of the healthcare landscape.

  • Must have strong ability to orchestrate and execute a large number of projects while looking to continuously improve processes, quality and efficiencies.

  • Position requires knowledge in available primary market research methodologies, including discrete choice/conjoint quantitative methods to inform product forecasts.

  • Knowledge of secondary data and CI data sources.

  • Position demands a ‘problem solving’ orientation. Must be able to develop innovative, resourceful solutions to complex, unstructured problems with minimal guidance.

Challenge current thinking by developing new ways of analysis, synthesis and delivery of information.

  • Proactively seek process improvement opportunities by challenging existing processes, proposing solutions, and driving implementation.

  • Continuous exploration to identify new and innovative market research techniques and data sources that result in unique and actionable insights.

  • Provide concise analyses that go beyond a presentation of the facts to include a discussion of the associated business implications and recommended course of action.

Demonstrate strong business acumen, excellent communication skills and ability to succinctly express point view using both written and verbal communications.

  • Excellent writing, presentation and project management skills required.

  • Position requires the ability to tell a clear, compelling “story,” and deliver recommendations that are targeted to the business question/hypothesis, in a way that cuts through the clutter and facilitates action.

  • Ability to produce high-quality, business-relevant output with strong emphasis on ‘packaging’ of information is critical -- i.e., compelling, accurate content as well as attention to clear, concise data presentation and aesthetic detail/formatting.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MS/MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years working within the Business Intelligence/Market Research function.

  • Strong understanding of primary research methodologies ( Qualitative and Quantiative)

  • Fluency in the use of a wide range of secondary data sources including, but not limited to: sales, prescription and promotional audits, as well as general business and pharmaceutical industry data sources.

  • Excellent writing, presentation and project management skills.

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Job Level:

  • Manager /Senior Manager level position depending upon experience
