Job Overview

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the incumbent will cover South Western Ontario working closely with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) at Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Centers and Community Leaders across the country as the Sanofi Genzyme MS products / services expert and to ensure cross-functional resources are made available as appropriate to facilitate the use of Sanofi Genzyme MS products. In this role, you will work closely with field and home office based colleagues in Marketing, Medical, Sales, Patient Support, and Corporate Accounts as well as be responsible for scientific exchange of all Sanofi Genzyme products as they relate to Neurology Specialists.

Major Responsibilities

  • Achieve, surpass sales objectives and profitably manage territory budget/expenses.

  • Develop and implement annual territory business plan based on market data and marketing plans. Ensure continuous follow-up and update the plan in response to changing market dynamics.

  • Act as the primary liaison between KOLs / MS Centres and home office cross-functional teams.

  • Identify profile, cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with MS Centres and KOLs within the MS community, lead the development of Key Account, engagement plans for each assigned KOL / MS Centre, and execute a customer centric needs based approach with targeted KOLs.

  • Lead development and implementation of local CME (Continuing Medical Education) programs.

  • Perform all required administrative duties, including all expense reports, marketing reports, and call reporting.

  • Work within the Sanofi Genzyme regulatory and legal compliance guidelines.

  • Attend local, regional and national meetings as directed.

  • Complete all training programs provided by Sanofi Genzyme

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Business Administration

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in field sales, with Multiple Sclerosis or Neurology therapeutic area within the pharmaceutical / biotech industry

  • Possess a successful sales career history, e.g., positive sales to forecast record, sales awards, promotions, etc.

  • Possess excellent technical aptitude and the ability to conduct disease/concept selling

  • Ability to present ideas effectively to individuals or groups, targeting presentation to the needs of the audience

  • Demonstrate superb written, verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, including superior analytical and planning skills

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to work independently to execute against strategic and tactical plans under tight timelines

  • Available to travel approximately 40-50% of the time and outside working hours

  • Valid driver's license
